Skookum Cat
After much angst lasting over the last year, and a little research lasting altogether nearly a whole hour, I burnt a hole in my credit card down at London Drugs, picking up their last Nikon Coolpix5000 on Boxing Day (clearance sale price! whoo!). Nicked me for nearly $1,000 for camera, baggie thing, extra 256MB card thing, and card reader thing for moving the pics from camera to laptop. The card reader thing was discounted right down to the nubbins since the camera's own USB port was non-functional (it was their demo model) and the LD photo guys (on Davie Street) felt bad about that.
It's a hell of a lot more camera than I know how to use, but p'raps that'll change.
