Well, for starters, there's the conversion to Textpattern, as already mentioned. Haven't gotten my links list set up in the sidebar yet, but that's on the agenda. Right now I'm going through the entire backlog to clean up an accumulation of what I am guessing are database errors. This is not only mind-bogglingly dull, but seriously time-consuming. But enough about that; how's Cardhu?
Back in a cone, is how. The silly rabbit only stuck his feet under a stuffed chair ten days ago, napping, and pulled a hind foot back out in a hurry, it having found a sharp metal bit. Oh, the gore, the sad puppy face, the enormous vet bill. He insisted on chewing his bandage, and all around his bandage, so back in a cone he went.
The first cone, billed as the largest in town, was adequate for only as long as it took him to work out how to get his entire leg right round the edge, and soon he was chewing and fussing at will. When he wasn't zonked into insensibility by the tranks the vet supplied.
Now he's wearing an even bigger cone, with a three-inch extension duct-taped to the edge, the thing is eighteen inches wide at its outer limits, and it won't be long before he gets its number, too. But hopefully by then he'll be healed enough to take it off entirely.
He couldn't get his bandage wet, either. It's been raining steadily for five weeks now. I don't need to talk about that any more, do I? I didn't think so.
In between all this joy and light, we have managed to get outside and up the mountain for a bit of skiing. Today was the best yet, so far's I'm concerned, as the snow was nice and grunchy and slow. I didn't even mind the falling sleet, though by the time we got home again we were both soaked and chilled, so that should tell ya how nice it was.
