We have made cookies by the pound. Found a nice little tree and hung shiny baubles on it, that glitter in the flashing coloured lights. Wrapped stuff for each other in pretty papers, and for far others in more servicable cardboard.
And walked and walked and walked. And every evening stopped by our out-of-town friends’ for a half hour in their hot tub, watching the boats go by. Tonight we heard a loon.
It’s been some sun, some drizzle. It’s been a week of being together, at home. Reading, playing games, cooking, seeing friends. Tomorrow back to work for me, but tonight is.
I love Christmas.
